Amethyst and Green Cased Glass Duck Figurine Murano?

This wonderful art glass duck would make a lovely addition to any collection.  His inner core is clear with a white opaque layer inside a dual layer of green opaque and rich, amethyst color, encased in clear, with an applied pink glass beak.  The base is polished flat and shows the various layers.

Dimensions: The duck measures 9" long from beak to tail x 7" high.

Marks/Dates:  Unmarked.  We are guessing he hails from Italy, but we cannot be certain without a label or signature.  We'll let you decide.

Condition:  No cracks or chips.  There is a tool mark at the end of the tail (looks as though the tool shaved a bit close), but it isn't obvious (see photo).
