Portieux French Blue Opaline Glass Covered Cabbage Dish

This decorative blue opaline glass dish is in the shape and texture of a head of cabbage (or lettuce) with some of its leaves turned down around the bowl's rim. The bowl is shown on page 84 of Newbound's Collectors Encyclopedia of Milk Glass.

Dimensions: Measures approximately 4 1/2" high at the tallest peak x 6 1/2" in diameter.

Marks/Dates: Impressed "Portieux France" on the inside bottom.

Condition: 3 Available. Two have no damage. The third has a point on a cabbage leaf on the lid that is sharper than the other rounded points. It may be a small chip or a manufacturing flaw. It is not noticeable. No other cracks or chips.
