Antique Atterbury Cat on Lacy Base Covered Dish White Milk Glass

Antique Atterbury Cat on Lacy Base Covered Dish White Milk Glass
This white milk glass cat on a lacy base was originally manufactured by Atterbury Glass.  Westmoreland later produced the mold.  It features a cat nestled onto an rectangular lid and set inside a dish with a reticulated rim.

Dimensions:  This dish measures 8 1/2" long x 6 3/4" high.

Marks/Dates:  Described on page 69 of Newbound's Collector's Encyclopedia of Milk Glass.  Stamped inside the lid "Pat'd Aug 6, 1889."  There are no marks on the bottom of the dish, as there should be for Westmoreland.

Condition:  No cracks, chips or other damage to the cat.  The rim of the lid has a few chips, from use.  There is a hairline on the inside of the base (see photos).  Still very good for its age, and the damage doesn't show when the lid is on the dish.  There are no glass eyes.
