Antique Atterbury Fox on Lacy Base Covered Dish White Milk Glass

Antique Atterbury Fox on Lacy Base Covered Dish White Milk Glass
This white milk glass fox on a lacy base was originally manufactured by Atterbury Glass.  Westmoreland, and later Kemple reproduced it using the mold.  It features a fox nestled onto an oval lid and set inside a dish with a reticulated rim.

Dimensions:  This dish measures 8" long x 7" high.

Marks/Dates:  Described on page 68 of Newbound's Collector's Encyclopedia of Milk Glass.  Stamped inside the lid "Pat'd Aug 6, 1889."  There are no marks on the bottom of the dish, as there should be for Westmoreland or Kemple.

Condition:  No cracks, chips or other damage to the lid.  There is a nick on the underside of the base.  Excellent for its age.  There are no glass eyes and since this came from a large collection of antique covered milk glass dishes, also without eyes, we suspect they were made this way.
