Fenton Rose Crest Milk Glass Vase Flat Crimp Spittoon Shape 1940s
Produced by the Fenton Art Glass Company from 1946 - 1947 this is a lovely milk glass vase with a rose crest. The mold is the old 192 mold that Fenton used consistently over the years.
This is large piece, measuring 5" tall but 6 1/2" wide across the top of the crimp. This piece is typically found with the standard double crimp that Fenton has used so often. However this vase, features a flatened pie crust or ribbon crimp, which gives makes it great for a large but shorter bouquet.
The vase is in excellent condition with no damage and minimal wear to the base. I did find one "straw" mark on the exterior of the piece and a couple of smaller marks on the inside. These are not at all unusual given the fact that these molds had been used for years and no replacements were available druring WWII. The marks d0 not affect the integrity of the vase not are they particularly noticible. but they are present.
