This covered candy bowl in
Westmoreland's Argonaut Shell pattern #1048, is a luscious green marble -
a lime and milk glass slag swirl.
The dish sits on 3 dolphin feet with a beaded rim. The lid has a shell finial. It is considered "scarce" according to Kovar's Westmoreland Glass The Popular Years 1940-1985, page 53.
Marks/Dates: c. early 1960's. Both the underside of the lid and the bottom of the dish are marked with "WG."
Condition: No chips, cracks or other damage.
